President's Welcome

Welcome to the 2025–2026 season at Townsville Brothers Swimming Club!

On behalf of our Executive Committee and coaching team, I would like to extend a warm welcome to all our returning members and families, as well as those joining our club for the very first time. We are excited to have you as part of the Brothers family and look forward to another successful and enjoyable season together.

At Townsville Brothers Swimming Club, we are committed to providing a positive, inclusive and supportive environment where swimmers of all ages and abilities can develop their skills, achieve their personal goals and enjoy being part of a great club community.

Our Goals for the 2025–2026 Season

• Foster open, positive and effective communication between our swimmers, families, coaches and committee.
• Continue to grow participation across all levels of the club, from Club Nights through to Regional, State and National competitions.
• Support every swimmer to achieve their individual goals, whether they are learning, competing or striving for personal best performances.
• Build a strong club culture through teamwork, sportsmanship, respect and family involvement.
• Deliver a financially sustainable club that continues to invest in quality coaching, equipment and opportunities for our members.

Our club prides itself on providing experienced coaching, quality training programs and a welcoming family atmosphere where every swimmer has the opportunity to succeed. Whether your goal is fitness, personal improvement or competing at the highest level, we encourage every swimmer to challenge themselves while enjoying the journey.

As many of you know, I have proudly served as Head Coach since 2012 and have been fortunate to watch our club grow into one of North Queensland's strongest swimming communities. Together, we've celebrated countless personal achievements, regional success, State and National Championship qualifiers and State and National Open Water qualifiers, and I'm incredibly proud of what our swimmers, families and volunteers have accomplished together.

None of this would be possible without the incredible support of our volunteers. We understand that families have busy schedules, but any assistance—big or small—makes a significant difference. Whether it's helping at Club Nights, carnivals, fundraising or behind the scenes, your contribution helps keep our club running successfully.

We are also proud to support adult swimmers through our affiliated Masters program, Townsville Aquaholics Masters Swimming Club. The club welcomes swimmers of all abilities, whether your goal is fitness, friendship, open water swimming or Masters competition. Townsville Aquaholics has established itself as one of North Queensland's premier Masters clubs, proudly producing State, National and World Masters Champions across a range of events. It provides a supportive and inclusive environment where swimmers can continue to challenge themselves, achieve personal goals and enjoy the lifelong sport of swimming.

Finally, I encourage you to become involved, ask questions, share ideas and provide feedback throughout the season. We are always looking for ways to improve our club and welcome opportunities to work with new volunteers, supporters and sponsors who share our passion for swimming.
